Kerry slips out of picture, falls, can't get up...
John Kerry's notable absence from the news and campaign trail is drawing notice.
Regardless of who you believe in Clarke v. Bush, the fact that the news has been dominated by discussions of terrorism - Bush's strength - keeps the news from covering issues more favorable to Kerry. This is exacerbated by Kerry's vacation and subsequent time off as doctors try and reattach parts to the man.
Natural post-primary slide? Sure. But the only voice that can fight off Republican attempts to define Kerry is Kerry's. By leaving the table for so long, he might return to find his place at it very changed...
