The new book by Bill Clinton will be touted by the former President himself on 60 minutes.
The CBS show has become the launchpad for a monthly avalanche of anti-Bush administration books - first, Paul O''Neill. Second, Richard Clarke. Third, General Zinni. And now, we have the former President.
Let's be honest - a book about by former President is indeed news. But CBS is becoming an echo chamber - between 60 Minutes II's breathless Abu Ghraib expose, to the DNC Book of the Month club tour, to Andy Rooney's increasing mental detachment, 60 Minutes and CBS have a real lack of balance.
Perhaps they consider Mike Wallace at 60 Minutes balance to Chris Wallace at Fox News...
