Pone su pie en su boca

Folks will usually tell you their bad intentions, if you just listen and let yourself hear it...

In a closely watched early election to replace Duke "Let's Make A Deal" Cunningham, I'm afraid that the Democrat candidate Francine Busby has gone and said something, well, rather rash.

“Everybody can help, yeah, absolutely, you can all help. You don't need papers for voting, you don't need to be a registered voter to help.”

Well, now that everyone's cards are on the table...

I've come close to publishing the definitive treatise on immigration - from debunking the "they don't pay taxes" myth to the "they just want to feed their families" bit of nonsense. The truth, as always, is far more complex. Mixed into the immigration debate has been the concept that the political parties are trying to use the debate to, among other things, yoke themselves to illegal immigrants who eventually may actually be allowed to vote, and hence, obtain their voting loyalty. This has been a fairly hysterical claim from many Republicans, but I'll be damned if Francine didn't let the cat out of the bag.

This is dirty. As dirty as Duke Cunningham's filthy lucre.

And as this is the first post on immigration I've done, and likely not the last, why not introduce a new category to cover it? And why not do it with style... so our first post into the new Immigration category - This Land Is Our Land. Seems fitting...
